DONE! A THOUSAND TIMES DONE!

6 Jun

It is over.

that is all I can say. As of 11:08 Sunday, June the 5th  2011 the first draft of BTE is done.

I know I cut it a little close… i only had what? 50 minutes left before I didn’t make my deadline. That’s so typically me. LOL, but at least it’s done.  FINALLY DONE!

I really can not express to you the huge relief of being finished. So instead of  rambling for 20 pages about it I leave you with the final sentence of BTE:

I squeeze Jett’s hand, feeling my heart go out to him, a tiny beat in this too big world. But a beat that counts. Every. Beat. Counts.

*Claps and does a happy dance*

It’s not that great of a sentence, but come on, it is the last one!

And now, I will take two weeks off BTE… heck maybe three! haha, good luck to you all on your writerly ventures, I must now go and throw some glitter in the air!

    Congratulations!
Completing a first draft is a great achievement; you deserve the time off!
That last sentence is fairly good, actually; I like it, at least. Keep up the great work!

Ha thanks… They need some work. But, you know, first draft and all i’d give myself a B.

      LOL

May I make a VERY QUICK I PROMISE suggestion? End it with “a beat that counts.” cut to black, curtain ends, over.

I’ll try that out in draft two. Thanks for the feedback. Though, as I said, NOTHING will be the same in draft two. So I will probably end with a different sentence, but it does sound better that way. Thanks!

It does. It also feels kind of weird not having to get my word count down everynight. haha

Congratulations! I have currently hit one-tenth of the way through my latest project, and it still seems like a long way to go! Don’t worry if you think your first draft is awful (referring to your post before this one), most first drafts are pretty non-perfect. That’s what editing is for!

      Thanks 😀

I try to remind myself of that but, sometimes I don’t listen very well!

Congratulations! C’mon, you have to be majorly proud, keep throwing that glitter in the air! 😀 You definitely deserve the time off! The last sentences are awesome, too!

Thanks! Though… I think I will need to buy more glitter, it is all gone now! haha
